Love In Action 2010, which took place this past St-Patrick’s Day -Wednesday March 17th-was a resounding success.
We raised enough money to send not one, but two eye restoration clinics in Tibet’s remote mountain villages, through our 2010 non-profit Planeterra.
Planeterra Foundation has a long history of supporting sustainable community development through travel and voluntourism. Love In Action, an annual benefit in its third year, partnered with Gap Adventures to curate a national contest campaign. The contest called leaders to create a unique fundraising project and submit a 2 to 3 minute video of what they did to put their Love In Action to raise money to support Planeterra and its Tibet Eye Restoration Clinic. See submissions here.
The event was held at The Revival in Little Italy hosted by CP24’s Melissa Grelo and Matte Babel and featured star-studded performances by Slakah, Dylan Murray, and Trish, followed by a long night of dancing.

Our winning team submission for LIA 2010 is “Love At First Sight”. Check out their touching video and see why they won the trip for 3 to Peru where they will be blogging about their voluntourism experiences when they head out end of April 2010.
Stay tuned for next year….
